This scene was shot at Battery Spencer, Conzelman Road, in the Marin Headlands of Golden Gate National Recreation Area. In 2009 the fenceline Harry stands next to, and the square of earth where Ann Mary Deacon (Debralee Scott) is found, are visible from the lookout at Battery Spencer. The view is incredible.

Debra Lee Scott was on “Welcome Back Kotter” and was known for her cheerleading stunts in the show. From what I’ve read, she was engaged to a firefighter who was killed on 9/11 and that abuse of alcohol after that caused her death from liver disease. Sadly, she was an indirect victim of 9/11. I was intrigued by her on the Kotter show.
